Fernando Gago is closing in on a move to Valencia, according to his agent.
The Real Madrid midfielder spent last season on loan at Roma after falling out of favour with Jose Mourinho.
The Argentine's agent, Lombilla Marcelo, has now revealed that Gago is set to move to the Mestalla for the guarantee of first-team football.
"The feeling is that we are keen to reach an agreement," Marcelo told Marca. "Everything is on track."
Gago joined Real from Boca Juniors in 2007.
