Real Madrid and Juventus are close to agreeing a financial package for superstar forward Cristiano Ronaldo, according to a report.
The Portugal international first emerged as a surprise target for the Serie A champions last week, a little over a month on from hinting that his future lies away from the Bernabeu.
Juve are hoping that £88m will be enough to seal the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's signature, with Ronaldo doing his part in helping to push through an exit after becoming increasingly frustrated at the lack of a new contract offer.
Sky Sports News suggests that a deal moved a step closer to completion on Monday evening, and "significant developments" are likely in the next 48 hours - possibly even confirmation of this summer's biggest transfer.
Ronaldo is currently enjoying a short break ahead of pre-season following his World Cup exertions with Portugal, which ended with defeat to Uruguay in the last 16 on June 30.
