Premier League duo Leeds United and Everton are reportedly keeping tabs on Real Madrid left-back Marcelo.
The 33-year-old has spent the last 15 years at the Santiago Bernabeu, however his time in the Spanish capital could soon come to an end as his contract expires next summer.
Marcelo is understood to have informed Real Madrid president Florentino Perez that he does not intend to sign a new contract and will leave the club in June.
According to El Nacional, the Brazilian's most likely destination will be a return to his homeland with Fluminense, however both Leeds and Everton are considering short-term offers to sign the defender.
Marcelo Bielsa currently has summer recruit Junior Firpo as his first-choice left-back, while Stuart Dallas has also featured on the left side of defence.
The Toffees, meanwhile, have Lucas Digne as their only senior option at left-back, so Rafael Benitez may look to bolster his squad in this department in one of the upcoming transfer windows.
Marcelo has enjoyed a trophy-laden career with Real Madrid, winning 22 major pieces of silverware, including four Champions Leagues and five La Liga titles. body check tags ::
