Real Madrid are reportedly unlikely to sign Neymar this summer as the Spanish giants want to complete a move for his Paris Saint-Germain teammate Kylian Mbappe at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
Los Blancos have been strongly linked with a move for Neymar over the last 24 hours, with the Brazil international said to be determined to force a move away from PSG.
Barcelona have been linked with their former player, but Madrid were reportedly preparing to offer £111m plus Luka Modric in a bid to complete a summer deal.
According to the Daily Mail, though, the capital giants are ready to drop their interest in the former Santos youngster as they want to complete a deal for Mbappe in next summer's transfer window.
The 20-year-old, who played a key role in France winning the 2018 World Cup, has scored 61 times in 88 appearances for the Ligue 1 champions. Neymar, meanwhile, has managed 51 goals in 58 games for the French club since arriving from Barca.
Both players could be involved in PSG's 2019-20 Ligue 1 opener at home to Nimes on Sunday night.
