AC Milan will reportedly move for Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra before the start of the season.
The Serie A runners-up will be without a number of central midfielders through injury at the beginning of the season, and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, they have targeted the 27-year-old.
Diarra has just one year left on his contract with the Spanish club, and is expected to leave following a lack of first-team football last season.
The Frenchman has 28 international caps to his name.
