Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has said that he is not convinced Cristiano Ronaldo is about to leave the club.
Reports suggest that the Portugal international is close to joining Juventus, but his teammate has refused to accept that the deal will go through.
"Let's see what happens," Modric told AS. "I don't think he's going to go and I would like him to stay because he's the best player in the world. He means a lot and hopefully he will stay.
"I think he's going to stay, that's my opinion. It would be very good if he stayed because I can't imagine him in any other European team."
Juve are said to be on course to land Ronaldo in a deal worth £88m.
