Paris Saint-Germain have denied reports that they have contacted Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo over a move to France.
The 27-year-old's future at the Santiago Bernabeu was recently thrown into doubt after he claimed that he was unhappy with unnamed people at the club.
When asked if PSG had made an approach for the Portuguese international, president Sheik Al Khelaifi told Marca: "No, that's not true. If Cristiano is sad it's not because we've been in touch with him. If we were interested we would speak to Madrid first.
"I'm not going to talk about other clubs' players. I respect Madrid and Florentino [Perez] is a great president. It's too soon to talk about Ronaldo. He's very professional."
Ronaldo has scored five goals in all competitions for Madrid this season, including the winner in Tuesday's dramatic 3-2 win over Manchester City in the Champions League.
