Real Madrid are reportedly planning to propose a loan deal for Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic.
Having seen Karim Benzema end his long-term association with the club to move to Saudi Arabian champions Al-Ittihad, Carlo Ancelotti is looking to form a new forward line.
Joselu, who starred for relegated Espanyol last season, has already been signed on loan, but the Spain international will not be regarded as a first-choice option.
In theory, Real have the option of trying to sign Kylian Mbappe if they are able to successfully negotiate a fee with their Paris Saint-Germain counterparts.
However, while it remains to be seen what fee will be enough to tempt PSG into a sale, Mbappe has consistently stated that he will spend 2023-24 at Parc des Princes.
Ancelotti is said to have held an interest in the likes of Kai Havertz, who has since joined Arsenal, and Harry Kane, while Napoli's Victor Osimhen has also been linked with a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Nevertheless, like in the case of Mbappe, the latter two may prove to be too expensive this summer, resulting in club officials having to assess further alternatives.
According to both Cadena Ser and Calciomercato, Real are open to paying a substantial loan fee to sign Vlahovic.
While the Serbia international has contributed 23 goals and six assists from his 63 appearances for Juventus, the frontman is unsettled in Turin at a time when his club are open to raising funds through player sales.
The report suggests that the 23-year-old is not a fan of Massimiliano Allegri's coaching methods, leaving him open to representing a different team and manager next season.
Real are allegedly considering whether to offer Juventus a fee of at least €15m (£12.9m) to acquire Vlahovic's services for 2023-24, as well as having the option to sign him permanently next summer.
For a deal to work for Juventus, they would need to find a like-for-like replacement for a similar fee, an arrangement which will not be easy with reported target Romelu Lukaku preferring to leave Chelsea for Inter Milan.
Juventus have already taken up their option to sign Arkadiusz Milik on a permanent deal from Marseille after he netted nine times from 32 outings in Serie A and the Champions League during 2022-23. body check tags ::
