Real Madrid are reportedly still interested in signing Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.
The 22-year-old was strongly linked with a move to the Bernabeu during the summer transfer window as Los Blancos seemingly considered alternatives for Manchester United's Paul Pogba.
The Netherlands international ultimately remained with Ajax beyond the transfer deadline, though, and he has scored twice and provided four assists in seven appearances this season.
According to AS, despite deciding against a summer move, Madrid are still interested in acquiring the Dutchman's services and could launch a bid at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
Van de Beek, who has a contract in Amsterdam until the summer of 2022, scored 17 times and registered 13 assists in 57 appearances for his Dutch club last season.
Zinedine Zidane's side were also linked with Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes late in the transfer window after failing to secure a deal for long-term target Pogba.
