Real Madrid have reportedly identified Villarreal defender Alfonso Pedraza as a potential arrival.
Pedraza, 22, has been with Villarreal since 2011 but has only just broken into the first-team set-up at El Madrigal, having spent time on loan with Lugo, Leeds United and Alaves.
The former Spain Under-21 international has featured in 13 games for the Yellow Submarine this season, and according to Marca, his performances have impressed Madrid.
Los Blancos have had problems in the full-back areas this season, with Dani Carvajal and Marcelo both spending periods on the sidelines.
The report claims that the European champions are considering an approach for Pedraza, although it is unclear whether that will occur in the January transfer window or at the end of the season.
Pedraza has managed one goal and two assists in 10 La Liga appearances this term.
