Real Betis are reportedly preparing an approach for Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
Llorente, 22, spent the entirety of last season on loan at Alaves, making 32 league appearances for the La Liga outfit.
It had been thought that the midfielder would form part of Real Madrid's first-team squad next season after returning to the Bernabeu, but according to AS, Betis are preparing a loan move for the Spaniard.
The report claims that Llorente is confident of making the grade at Real Madrid, but wants to secure first-team football for the 2017-18 season as he bids to make the Spain squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Llorente has played a key role in Spain Under-21s reaching the semi-finals of the Under-21 European Championships in Poland.
