Sevilla attacker Yevhen Konoplyanka reportedly caught the eye of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez during their La Liga clash before the international break.
Konoplyanka impressed at the Estadion Ramon as Sevilla inflicted a 3-2 defeat on Real Madrid, which saw Los Blancos relinquish first position in La Liga.
According to Estadio Deportivo, after the match, Perez approached Sevilla about the release clause in the Ukraine international's contract, which is said to stand in the region of £28m.
Konoplyanka joined Sevilla on a free transfer in the summer and has scored four times in 13 games for the Spanish outfit this season.
The 26-year-old was also part of the Ukraine side that beat Slovenia 2-0 in the first leg of their Euro 2016 playoff on Saturday.
