Roma are reportedly considering a fresh approach for Real Madrid's versatile defender Nacho.
The 27-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Rome last summer, but stayed in the Spanish capital, and made 35 appearances in all competitions last season as Real Madrid landed a La Liga and Champions League double.
Nacho actually started 24 times in La Liga last term, but it is thought that the return of Jesus Vallejo from a loan spell at Eintracht Frankfurt could see the Spaniard struggle for minutes next season.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma want to sign at least one new centre-back in this summer's transfer window, and the Italians have targeted Nacho as a possible addition ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
Despite being heavily involved in the league last season, Nacho only started three Champions League matches as Los Blancos became the first team in history to retain the trophy in its modern format.
