Sao Paulo's president has ruled out a move for Real Madrid star Kaka.
The 30-year-old has failed to establish himself at the Bernabeu after his £54m move from AC Milan in 2009.
Injuries have curtailed the Brazilian's career and he now looks to be heading for the exit at Los Blancos.
Sao Paulo had been linked with a move, but their president has now revealed that they cannot afford the fee.
Instead, it looks as though Kaka will be staying in Spain or heading to the Premier League.
"Kaka has decided to quit Madrid," Paulo de Jesus Lopes told O Globo. "He believes that England or remaining in Spain would be two interesting destinations for him.
"Sao Paulo can't afford him as his price-tag is astronomical and out of the reality of Brazilian football."
Kaka left Sao Paulo to join the Rossoneri in 2003.
