Real Madrid have announced that defender Raphael Varane has committed his future to the club by signing a new deal.
The 21-year-old was linked with a possible move to Chelsea in the summer, but the Frenchman has opted to extend his stay at the Bernabeu until 2020.
A statement on Real's official website said: "Real Madrid announce the extension of the contract between the player Raphael Varane and the club until June 30, 2020."
Varane moved to the Spanish giants from Lille back in 2011.
