Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has fuelled suggestions that Kylian Mbappe could arrive at the Bernabeu by claiming that the Frenchman 'dreams' of representing the Spanish giants.
Mbappe continues to be linked with a switch to Madrid, and it is thought that Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is determined to complete a move in next summer's transfer window.
The 20-year-old has scored 69 times in just 97 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain, including nine goals in 10 outings for the French champions during the 2019-20 campaign.
When asked whether he thought Mbappe would make the move to the Spanish capital, Zidane revealed that he was aware of the youngster's "dream" to turn out for the club.
"I don't know, it's the player who decides. At the moment he plays for Paris Saint-Germain, we'll see in the future if that changes. I know he always said his dream is to play for Real Madrid," Zidane told reporters.
Mbappe, who played a key role in France winning the 2018 World Cup when he was just a teenager, will see his current deal with PSG expire at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
However, the Ligue 1 giants are allegedly lining up a £700,000-a-week offer in the hope that the attacker will decide to pen a fresh contract in Paris.
