New Real Sociedad manager David Moyes believes that there are similarities between the current situation at the Spanish club and the state of Everton when he first took over the Merseyside outfit.
The Scotsman joined Everton back in 2002 and spent 11 years there before replacing Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United last summer.
Almost 10 months later, Moyes was sacked by the Premier League giants after the club fell from champions to seventh in his first and only season at Old Trafford.
Last week, Sociedad confirmed the appointment of Moyes, who believes that he can push the 15th-placed club up the La Liga table.
"There's a lot of similarities between this club and Everton when I took over Everton," Moyes told Sky Sports News. "They are maybe just at the wrong end of the table.
"Obviously, I can see things what need to be done and redeveloped which we did at Everton. It took time to do so but I have got to say in the end at Everton we got a really good club and good players and hopefully the same will happen here."
Moyes's first game in charge is away to Deportivo La Coruna tomorrow.
