Eusebio Sacristan has praised the quality of his new Real Sociedad squad after taking over from David Moyes.
Former Everton and Manchester United boss Moyes was sacked by Sociedad after one year in charge on Monday following a troubled start to the season, but new head coach Sacristan is already looking forward to getting the best of the current Txuriurdin team.
"I love the squad Real Sociedad have got," he told reporters. "There's a lot of quality and I identify myself with players who have technical ability balanced with physicality.
"We will work to bring the best out of the players so that the results come. I like the profile of these players. We'll be very demanding so that there is maximum competition for first-team places."
Sacristan, who was Barcelona assistant manager between 2003 and 2008, takes over a Sociedad side currently sitting 16th in La Liga, two points above joint-bottom sides Granada and Levante.
