Real Sociedad eased their relegation worries as goals from Imanol Agirretxe and Xabier Prieto gave them a 2-0 win over Sevilla this evening.
Ciro Immobile's dangerous ball into the box inside the opening five minutes had to be dealt with by Aritz Elustondo as Sevilla started brightly.
However, the visitors were dealt a blow when Marco Andreolli was forced off with injury midway through the first half, with Thimothee Kolodziejczak coming on in his place.
Bruma tested Sergio Rico with a strike just before the half-hour mark and Jose Antonio Reyes threatened at the other end just a few minutes later, but it remained goalless at the break.
Geronimo Rulli had to be alert to deny Immobile shortly after the restart, before Prieto aimed a volley straight at Rico.
Then, with the game seemingly destined to finish 0-0, Agirretxe popped up to volley home from inside the area 17 minutes from time.
Prieto then wrapped up the win for Eusebio Sacristan's side when he stabbed home from close range just five minutes later.
The result sees Sociedad climb to 14th place in La Liga, three points clear of the relegation zone, while Sevilla sit 10th.
