Sports Mole

NY Red Bulls vs. Orlando City (Saturday, 11.00pm)

New York Red Bulls will look to bounce back from consecutive home defeats in the MLS when they play host to Orlando City on Saturday.

The visitors are also experiencing a poor run of form after losing their last three matches in the MLS, leaving them just outside the playoffs.

We say: New York Red Bulls 4-2 Orlando City

NY Red Bulls and Orlando have already met on two occasions this season, with the Red Bulls winning 3-0 in the MLS before the Lions thumped Saturday's opponents 5-1 in the US Open Cup.

We expect more goals to follow at the weekend, but we think NY Red Bulls will get the better of an Orlando side, who have lost their last three MLS games.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Cincinnati vs. Atlanta (Sunday, 12.30am)

FC Cincinnati wrap up their two-game homestand this weekend in search of their first-ever MLS victory against Atlanta United when they welcome them to TQL Stadium on Saturday.

The Orange and Blue had a big second half against the Eastern Conference-leading Philadelphia Union last week, scoring three times in 21 minutes, winning 3-1, while the Five Stripes are two points out of a playoff spot after edging the Seattle Sounders 2-1.

We say: FC Cincinnati 3-2 Atlanta United

As good as Atlanta have played versus Cincinnati in previous years, this is not nearly the same Orange and Blue side that we have seen in past seasons.

They may still allow their share of openings on the back end, but Cincy's quality in the final third is difficult for even the most well-organised defensive units to contain, while the Five Stripes struggle away from home, without a win in their last nine road games.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

New England vs. DC United (Sunday, 12.30am)

DC United will be bidding to record just their seventh victory of the current MLS season when they head to New England Revolution on Saturday night.

The visitors are bottom of the Eastern Conference, boasting just 22 points from their 23 league fixtures, while New England sit 10th, eight points above their opponents in this contest.

We say: New England Revolution 2-1 DC United

New England were excellent against Orlando City last time out, so they should have momentum coming into this contest. DC United are capable of picking up a positive result on Saturday, but we believe that the home side will have enough quality to pick up an important three points.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Philadelphia vs. Chicago Fire (Sunday, 12.30am)

The Chicago Fire have a chance to extend their unbeaten run to six games as they head to Subaru Park to face the Philadelphia Union on Saturday.

Philly remain first in the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer despite having a six-match unbeaten run snapped by FC Cincinnati (3-1) last week, while the Fire have climbed into a playoff position after edging Charlotte FC 3-2.

We say: Philadelphia Union 2-0 Chicago Fire

Chicago will be desperate to maintain their top seven position in the Eastern Conference, but Philly are only three points ahead of NYCFC for first, so there is just as much for them to play for at the moment.

The Union have been incredibly potent, well-organised and full of confidence on home soil, all of which we believe will propel them to another victory at Subaru Park.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Inter Miami vs. NY City (Sunday, 1.00am)

New York City FC will be bidding to return to winning ways in the MLS when they make the trip to Florida on Saturday to take on Inter Miami.

The visitors are currently second in the Eastern Conference, three points behind leaders Philadelphia Union, while Inter Miami occupy ninth position, 12 points behind their opponents in this contest.

We say: Inter Miami 1-1 New York City FC

Inter Miami will have been boosted by their recent three-game unbeaten run, and we are backing the home side to claim a point here. New York City won 2-0 in the reverse fixture towards the end of July, but the title hopefuls might be forced to settle for a share of the spoils in this contest.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Austin vs. Kansas (Sunday, 2.00am)

Seeking to pick up their first consecutive league win this season, Sporting Kansas City take a trip to the Q2 Stadium to square off against Austin FC on Saturday.

The home side, who are on a run of two straight wins against Peter Vermes's men, will look to continue in the same vein and strengthen their position in the upper echelons of the Western Conference table.

We say: Austin FC 2-2 Sporting Kansas City

Buoyed by last weekend's victory, Sporting Kansas City will head into Saturday with renewed belief as they mount a charge from the bottom of the conference standings. While taking on Austin FC is a stern task for any side in the division, we are backing the Wizards to do just enough to leave with a share of the spoils.

Colorado vs. Columbus Crew (Sunday, 2.00am)

Columbus Crew will travel over 1000 miles West to DSG Park for their MLS encounter against Colorado Rapids on Sunday.

The Rapids were on the right side of a seven-goal thriller over Minnesota United last time out, while five goals were scored in The Crew's most recent victory against New York City FC.

We say: Colorado Rapids 2-2 Columbus Crew

Goals are to be expected in this weekend's clash as both sides have shown their threat in the final third in recent weeks while also looking vulnerable at the back.

Considering that there is little to separate these two teams, an entertaining score draw could be on the cards at DSG Park.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Dallas vs. Earthquakes (Sunday, 2.00am)

San Jose Earthquakes will be seeking to end their six-game winless run when they visit the Toyota Stadium to lock horns with Dallas on Saturday.

The home side will head into the weekend desperate to get one over the Earthquakes, having failed to win any of their last nine encounters since October

We say: Dallas 1-1 San Jose Earthquakes

Looking at recent results between Dallas and San Jose, we expect another keenly-contested encounter this weekend. Both sides have struggled to get going over the last month and we predict they will settle for a share of the spoils.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

LA Galaxy vs. Vancouver (Sunday, 3.00am)

Los Angeles Galaxy will be hoping to end their miserable run of form when they welcome Vancouver Whitecaps to the Dignity Health Sports Park for their MLS clash on Sunday.

The visitors, meanwhile, are seeking to extend their unbeaten run across all competitions to four matches.

We say: Los Angeles Galaxy 1-2 Vancouver Whitecaps

Both sides have endured inconsistent spells of form in recent weeks so a tight affair could be on the cards this weekend.

However, considering Vancouver's recent record against LA Galaxy and the latter's defensive frailties, we can see the visitors coming away with all three points in California.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Los Angeles vs. Charlotte FC (Sunday, 3.30am)

Los Angeles FC will look to extend their winning MLS run to six matches when they welcome Charlotte FC to the Banc of California Stadium on Saturday.

In contrast to the hosts, Charlotte enter the contest off the back of three defeats in their last four matches.

We say: Los Angeles FC 3-1 Charlotte FC

While Charlotte have lost three of their last four matches, LAFC have won their last five MLS games, and we think they will continue that run with another victory on Saturday.
