Reims coach Hubert Fournier has said that his side were a little naive as they lost 3-2 against AS Monaco in Ligue 1 on Friday night.
It looked as though the visitors would steal a point at the Stade Louis II, but Layvin Kurzawa popped up with a late winner to give Monaco the victory.
"I am frustrated and disappointed for the boys. It was possible to leave this game with something other than this cruel defeat," Fournier told reporters.
"We showed a lack of killer instinct in the final third. We should also have put the ball into touch and squeezed Monaco.
"They could have folded, but instead we showed a little naivety in this match and they cashed in on that with a goal five minutes into stoppage time."
Reims currently occupy seventh spot in the Ligue 1 table.
