Ten-man Lille have suffered their fourth loss in five league outings having fallen to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Reims this afternoon.
The visiting side had their work cut out early on when Sebastien Corchia was shown a straight red card for bringing down Gaetan Charbonnier inside the box, with the referee awarding a penalty as a result.
Benjamin Moukandjo stepped up take the spot kick, which he fired beyond Vincent Enyeama to put Reims ahead on 26 minutes.
Things got even better for Jean-Luc Vasseur's charges shortly after when Aissa Mandi headed home a second from a corner to put his side in control.
Liverpool loanee Divock Origi came close to pulling one back with a header which was narrowly wide of the target, while Enyeama had to be on guard to keep out Diego Rigonato's effort.
It was all very comfortable for Reims in the end, however, who climb into 10th place following their five-game unbeaten run.
