Rennes have progressed into the final of the Coupe de France by beating Angers 3-2 at Stade de la Route de Lorient tonight.
The Ligue 2 outfit raced into a shock early lead over their top-flight counterparts as Mohamed Yattara fired the visitors ahead after just three minutes.
The lead proved relatively short-lived, however, as Philippe Montanier's men struck back through Ola Toivenen on 15 minutes, before Kamil Grosicki fired the Ligue 1 club into a 2-1 half-time lead.
Chances of a giant-killing grew shorter early in the second half when Jean Makoun provided the home club with a two-goal cushion on 48 minutes.
However, an 89th-minute penalty from Yattara ensured that there would be a tense finale to the contest, but Rennes held on to book a final spot with either Monaco or Guingamp, who face each other on Wednesday night.
