Paris Saint-Germain missed the chance to go clear at the top of Ligue 1 as they were held to a 1-1 draw at in-form Rennes this afternoon.
Both sides had their fair share of attacking possession during the early stages, but the champions edged the first period and were unlucky not to take the lead in the 42nd minute when Zlatan Ibrahimovic bore down on goal and crashed an effort against the bar.
They edged their noses in front moments later following a free kick, which Lucas Moura laid on a plate for Zoumana Camara to tuck into the bottom corner from close range.
Rennes had some decent spells, and they drew level 10 minutes into the second half as Abdoulaye Doucoure let fly from outside the box, finding the top corner with a thunderous strike.
Yohan Cabaye had a late chance to win it for PSG, latching onto Marco Verratti's pass and firing narrowly wide of the mark, squandering the last meaningful effort of the game in the process.
The result leaves leaves PSG one point behind Ligue 1 leaders Bordeaux, who have played one game less than the Parisians.
