Troyes threw away the chance to register their first win of the season as they surrendered a one-goal lead to draw 1-1 at Rennes this evening.
Jessy Pi handed the visitors the lead in the 11th minute with a composed finish from the edge of the area.
Brayan Perea almost doubled the lead two minutes later, but Abdoulaye Diallo produced a reflex save to deny him.
On the stroke of half time, Denis Petric clawed away Giovanni Sio's close-range header to ensure his side remained in front.
Chris Mavinga came close to adding a second for Troyes midway through the second half, but Diallo was again equal to it.
Just a few minutes later, Fallou Diagne levelled for Rennes with a header from Paul-Georges Ntep's free kick.
In the dying embers of the match, Yacouba Sylla was shown a second yellow card, but there was no time for Troyes to capitalise on the one-man advantage and both sides had to settle for a point.
