Roy Keane has reportedly decided against becoming Celtic manager in order to remain as Republic of Ireland assistant coach.
The 42-year-old recently held talks with the Scottish champions, who are looking for a new boss following Neil Lennon's resignation.
Ireland manager Martin O'Neill admitted last week that he wanted Keane to stay within the national team setup.
The former Manchester United captain has now chosen to remain with Ireland after mulling over his future, according to the Irish Independent.
Keane made 13 appearances for Celtic before retiring from professional football in 2006.
