Robbie Keane has been granted permission by Los Angeles Galaxy to link up with his Republic of Ireland teammates for their upcoming friendly encounters against England and Georgia.
The 32-year-old had been expected to miss the matches because his American employers initially declined to release him as the games were outside of the FIFA international calender.
However, following talks between the Football Association of Ireland and officials from the Galaxy, the striker will now join up with his colleagues in London later this month.
Keane is Ireland's record appearance maker and goalscorer.
