John O'Shea has said that Ireland still have room for improvement after their decent 1-1 draw with Serbia in Belgrade last night.
O'Shea was captain for the game with several key players missing and he said that despite the draw he had hoped to create more chances.
"We needed to get [Euro 2012] out of our system," Fifa.com quotes O'Shea as saying.
"This was always going to be a difficult place to come to, Serbia away, and playing with a newish system and with some new lads.
"We were quite comfortable in the game, and we caused them some early problems, although we would have liked to have created a few more clear-cut chances. We have room to improve."
O'Shea has been capped 79 times by Ireland.
