The match between Serbia and Republic of Ireland has passed a late pitch inspection after persistent rain put the match in doubt.
Republic of Ireland are playing in their first competitive fixture since reaching the knockout stages of Euro 2016 but it appeared that they could have made a wasted journey to Belgrade due to the wet conditions on Monday afternoon.
It was announced that a pitch inspection would take place just 90 minutes before the scheduled kickoff but despite rain continuing to fall, it has been decided that the game will go ahead as planned.
Republic of Ireland prepared for the contest with a 4-0 win over Oman last Wednesday.
