Torino have extended their unbeaten run in Serie A to six matches following a 1-0 win against AC Chievo Verona this afternoon.
Ivan Radovanovic had an early chance for Chievo when he placed a low shot from just outside the box wide of the post.
Alessio Cerci then threatened for the visitors when his strike after a driving run was turned behind Michael Agazzi.
Torino came close again when Cerci fired in a powerful shot from just outside the box, but he was denied by Agazzi.
The visitors continued to dominate and Jasmin Kurtic worked a good opening for himself before drilling in an effort that was beaten away by the keeper.
Torino finally made their pressure count by taking the lead in the 54th minute when Gennaro Sardo turned the ball into his own net following a corner.
Chievo's hopes of getting back into the game suffered a blow soon after the hour mark, when Sergio Pellissier was sent off for picking up two yellow cards in quick succession.
Torino saw out the remainder of the game with little incident as they held on to sixth place in the Serie A table.
