Keith Hill rewarded for Rochdale form

Rochdale manager Keith Hill is handed the League Two manager of the month award for September.

Rochdale boss Keith Hill has scooped the League Two manager of the month award for September.

The Lancashire outfit won just once during the opening month of the campaign, but they have responded with four victories to move to fifth place in the league table.

Successive 1-0 triumphs over Bury and Torquay United at Spotland got September off to the perfect start, before a narrow win at Accrington Stanley saw Rochdale creep further up the standings.

An early three-goal burst against Wycombe Wanderers was enough to earn themselves a fourth victory in three weeks to move them into contention at the top of the table.
