Rochdale boss Keith Hill believes that the young players at his disposal will provide a bright future at the club.
A number of youth players have turned out for the first team in recent weeks, with Hill revealing that he wants to build a nucleus of young players.
"They've been training with us since I've come into the building and that is part of the process and development," Hill told the club's official website.
"They're an integral part of my thinking with respect to next season and I feel as though with a little bit of encouragement and a little bit of trust they'll be ready.
"These players won't just be squad fillers, they will be contributors to next season. They are talented players and they'll be good acquisitions for Rochdale Football Club."
Rochdale finished the League Two campaign in 12th position.
