Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi has said that his side can "catch" Serie A leaders Juventus.
Rossi's side trail the Serie A champions by three points after 15 matches, despite the fact they are yet to lose a league game this season.
"I have never believed those who said our objective was to get back into Europe, as we always knew it was to target a Champions League spot," he told the club's official website.
"If Juventus played Napoli today, I'd cheer Napoli as I don't look at who is behind us when Juve are only three points away. We want to catch Juventus.
"Our positive streak isn't over, it has just gone on pause due to a series of factors including opposition goalkeepers having the performance of their lives and refereeing decisions going against us while other teams were more fortunate in that respect. These things even themselves out over the course of a campaign."
Roma's next game sees them travel to face AC Milan on Monday evening.
