Roma have confirmed that striker Marco Borriello has been placed on the transfer list.
The 30-year-old was subjected to chants of "mercenary" from the Giallorossi fans when the squad reconvened for pre-season training last week, due to his stint on loan at Juventus last season.
Walter Sabatini, the club's sporting director, has now told the Italian international that he does not feature in new coach Zdenek Zeman's plans.
The news has reportedly alerted Genoa and Fiorentina, who are keen to add more firepower up front.
"We have placed Borriello on the transfer list and he is well aware of it," Sabatini told Gazzetta dello Sport.
Borriello only managed to score two goals during his loan stint with the Bianconeri.
