Daniele De Rossi is expected to sign a new five-year deal at Roma, according to a report in Italy.
The Italian international is out of contract in the summer and free to discuss a move to any other clubs that are interested.
Both Manchester City and Manchester United were strongly linked with a move for the midfielder in January, but it looks as though the 28-year-old has chosen to stay at the Stadio Olimpico.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Roma are willing to make De Rossi one of the highest-paid players in Europe, with a deal worth €6m (£5m) per year plus performance-related bonuses.
The contract is also thought to have a €10m (£8.3m) buy-out clause that can only be activated a month before the end of the season.
De Rossi has made 267 league appearances for the Rome club, scoring 32 goals.
