CSKA Moscow striker Seydou Doumbia has revealed that he has chosen to play for Roma because of Francesco Totti.
The forward is away on international duty with the Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations but is expected to complete a proposed move from CSKA to the Stadio Olimpico for £11m.
Doumbia is excited to play alongside the iconic captain as well as featuring in Rudi Garcia's attack-minded side.
"I have chosen Roma for their offensive football and in order to play with a monster like Totti," the 27-year-old said, according to Goal.com.
The Ivory Coast striker will fill the place of Mattia Destro, who completed his move to Milan earlier this week.
