Roma attacker Francesco Totti has admitted that the club need to sign new players if they are to challenge for trophies next season.
The Giallorossi finished seventh in Serie A last season, and the Italian believes that "some new additions" will allow the club to move forward.
"We already have quite a good team, but we could do with some new additions. We need some important signings in order to be able to compete for the Scudetto with Juventus, AC Milan and Inter," he told reporters.
"I won't go into names, but you definitely need big players if you want to win something. Let's wait and see what happens. Are Roma in for a transitional year? I don't think the fans want another year like last term."
Totti scored eight goals in 31 games for the club last season.
