Romania continued their fine form in Euro 2016 qualifying Group F as they beat the Faroe Islands 1-0 this evening.
The home side took the lead when Claudiu Keseru smashed a set piece into the top corner from a few yards out, in what was his third attempt in the opening 20 minutes.
Paul Papp almost doubled Romania's lead 10 minutes later, but his rising shot missed the crossbar by a yard.
The group leaders piled on the pressure even more after the break in search of a second goal, and they went close through Alexandru Maxim's bullet shot.
However, they failed turn their chances into goals and they almost paid the price when Joan Simun Edmundsson's shot almost found the top corner in the last minute.
