Inverness Caledonian Thistle came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw with Ross County in the Highland Derby in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.
Filip Kiss and Graham Carey both had chances to open the scoring for the visitors early on, but it was Yoann Arquin who broke the deadlock, heading in from a Rocco Quinn free kick with just over 20 minutes gone.
Dean Brill had to remain alert in the Inverness goal as County tried to double their advantage, but the keeper pulled off saves to deny Quinn and Arquin.
Ryan Christie had the best chance of the first half for the hosts as he tried to fire in from close range following a corner, but he could not get the better of Mark Brown.
However, Inverness were back on level terms early in the second half when Christie picked out Marley Watkins with a through-ball, leaving the winger with a simple tap in.
Watkins could have had a second just after the hour mark, but Brown managed to tip his powerful strike from the centre of the box behind for a corner, which Gary Warren headed just over.
The visitors had a corner of their own a few minutes later, and Jackson Irvine tried to restore their lead from it with a headed effort, but his finish was a fraction high.
Inverness came closest to adding a winner late on, with Billy McKay rising highest for the header after Christie won a free kick, but Brown was on hand again for County to ensure that the sides finished level.
Despite picking up a point, Ross County remain at the bottom of the table, while Inverness are up to third.
