Rotherham United and Blackpool both failed to score in a goalless first half at the New York City Stadium this afternoon.
Emmanuel Ledesma, who made his first start for Rotherham, almost made the perfect impact as his shot across goal fell inches in front of fellow loanee Tom Lawrence, who was dashing in at the far post and trying to tap it in after just a couple of minutes.
Rotherham put the visitors under a lot of pressure but failed to convert any of their chances, with Matt Derbyshire particularly threatening.
Niall Ranger was the visitors' most dangerous player and he had Blackpool's best chance with a close-range header but it was deflected onto the roof of the net.
