Championship strugglers Rotherham United have signed out-of-contract forward Leon Best on a deal until the end of the season.
Best, 29, had been without a club since leaving Blackburn Rovers in the summer.
"It is a great signing for us," Millers boss Neil Redfearn told the club website. "He has undoubted quality, he has played at the highest level and there are still plenty of years left in him.
"His ability is without question. There were a lot of clubs interested in him, so we have beaten off a lot of good sides to secure his signature."
Best did not play for Blackburn last season, instead turning out on loan and scoring one goal in 28 league appearances for other Championship sides Derby County and Brighton & Hove Albion.
He will wear number 50 for Rotherham, who are bottom of the table and five points from safety after 16 games of the season.
