Russia boss Leonid Slutsky has said that he is sure that his nation's supporters will not get the team kicked out of Euro 2016.

Earlier on Tuesday, UEFA announced that Russia had been handed a suspended disqualification after their supporters attacked England fans at the conclusion of the game in Marseille on Saturday night.

However, Slutsky has insisted that there will be no further incidents after they called for calm ahead of their clash with Slovakia on Wednesday afternoon.

Slutsky is quoted by The AP as saying: "There is not going to be any injustice. We are sure [our fans] will not do the same, they will not give any reasons to disqualify our team.

"We have addressed our supporters and asked them to behave within the framework of rules. We need their support. They supported us very well during the England game."

The statement released by UEFA appeared to relate to any incidents taking place in the stadium, leaving it unclear whether Russia would receive any further punishments should there be a repeat of the attacks that took place in and around Marseille at the weekend.
