Saint-Etienne have cruised to a 3-0 home win over Valenciennes in Ligue 1.
Benjamin Corgnet tried his luck early on for Saint-Etienne as he fired in a right-footed shot from the right side of the box having been found by Romain Hamouma with a cross.
Brandao grew increasingly influential for the hosts and picked out Corgnet with a headed pass, but the midfielder's effort was kept out by the goalkeeper.
Brandao had a go of his own midway through the half, but his left-footed shot across the box was somehow kept out of the bottom corner.
Etienne grabbed the lead just before the break when Renaud Cohade gambled with a run to get onto the end of Corgnet's corner, before guiding the ball home with his left foot.
The hosts doubled their advantage in the 56th minute when Corgnet drilled home an effort from outside of the box into the bottom corner.
Etienne wrapped up the game in the closing stages with a third goal, which was provided by Yohan Mollo, who drilled home having latched onto Mevlut Erding's pass.
