Parma have ended their season with an entertaining 2-2 draw away at Sampdoria.
Sampdoria started the game strongly and created the first chance of the match after 11 minutes as Samuel Eto'o was released through on goal, but his effort was denied by Antonio Mirante.
Parma struggled in the early stages but missed two clear opportunities to take the lead as Silvestre Varela headed over the bar from the middle of the box, before Antonio Nocerino steered an effort wide from 12 yards.
The visitors continued to pile forward and were denied by the post on their next attempt as Jose Mauri's long-range strike left the goalkeeper stranded.
Parma paid for their wastefulness as Sampdoria took the lead shortly after the break. Alfred Duncan crossed the ball into the box, and Alessio Romagnoli nodded it into the far corner.
Parma hit back 20 minutes later as Raffaele Palladino found the back of the net with a fine finish, but Sampdoria re-took the lead just five minutes after as Eto'o set up Lorenzo De Silvestri to tap in.
However, Parma struck back once again as Varela found the net with a low finish to earn a point for his relegated side.
