Ze Eduardo's 94th-minute header has given Cesena a dramatic 1-1 draw away at Sassuolo in Serie A this evening.
Sassuolo were the better side in the opening 45 minutes, but they were unable to create a clear chance until the half-hour mark, when Simone Zaza's mazy run almost ended in the opener, but the forward's shot was well blocked.
Nicola Leali then made a flurry of saves to deny Domenico Berardi, Simone Missiroli and Zaza in the minutes leading up to the break, and the sound of the half-time whistle was a relief for the visitors.
Leali was on hand again seven minutes into the second half to turn away Zaza's low drive, but he could no nothing to stop the 23-year-old putting the hosts ahead from the spot in the 75th minute, after Hordur Bjorvin Magnusson had pulled back his opponent.
Despite their dominance, Sassuolo were put on the back foot in the closing stages and they were unable to hold on as Eduardo nodded home from Gregoire Defrel's cross four minutes into stoppage time.
