Inter Milan have suffered their second consecutive defeat in Serie A with a 3-1 loss at Sassuolo.
The hosts opened the scoring with just 10 minutes played when Simone Zaza collected Simone Missiroli's cross inside the box before rifling the ball into the top corner.
Their lead was doubled with 15 minutes remaining in the half as Nicola Sansone fired an unstoppable effort past Samir Handanovic from 25 yards, after Inter had failed to clear a corner.
With the visitors struggling to create anything in the final third, Sassuolo almost made it 3-0 before the break through Sansone, but his header was kept out from close range.
Inter were much improved after the break, and they nearly pulled a goal back on 65 minutes when Lukas Podolski rattled the post with a powerful drive.
The Nerazzuri reduced the deficit with six minutes left thanks to Mauro Icardi, before Sassuolo were forced to play the final few minutes with 10 men after Sansone was shown a second yellow card.
However, Sassuolo went on to secure the points deep in added time when Domenico Berardi scored from the penalty spot, after Isaac Donkor was sent off for bringing down Zaza.
