Schalke 04 sporting director Horst Heldt has admitted that he is delighted with the commitment shown by winger Julian Draxler following his signing of a contract extension.
Draxler, 19, agreed last week to extend his stay at the club until the summer of 2018 having come through the youth ranks.
Heldt proclaimed that Draxler is a fan of the club and that he has a home at Schalke for as long as he wants.
"This is a huge step," Heldt said. "We're absolutely delighted that Julian identifies with the club. He's blue through and through."
Draxler will take the number 10 shirt next season, which was left vacant when Lewis Holtby moved to Tottenham Hotspur in January.
