Schalke 04 have moved up to fifth place in the Bundesliga table with a thrilling 5-4 victory over Hannover at the Veltins-Arena.
The hosts were ahead at the break when Jefferson Farfan drifted in at the back post before firing into the bottom corner.
Schalke extended their advantage soon after the restart as Julian Draxler finished off a counter-attack with his confident finish.
The visitors pulled a goal back in the 54th minute thanks to Sergio Pinto's clever flick.
The then got themselves level two minutes later through Szabolcs Huszti's emphatic drive.
However, Schalke regained the lead in the 63rd minute when Marco Hoger converted having kept himself onside.
The home side then added their fourth goal of the evening as Ciprian Marica calmly swept the ball past the onrushing Ron-Robert Zieler.
Huszti reduced the deficit for Hannover in the 68th minute with his powerful volley, only for Schalke to score again in the 20 minutes later when Lewis Holtby fired in.
The away side had the final say with Mame Biram Diouf's overhead kick in injury time, but they were unable to snatch an equaliser.
