Schalke 04 sporting director Horst Heldt had revealed that Julian Draxler could still leave the club before the end of the transfer window.
Draxler has been repeatedly linked with a move to Juventus this summer, but hopes of a potential switch to Serie A appeared to be over when Schalke rejected a bid from the Italian champions.
Despite admitting that the 21-year-old may still be sold, Heldt claims that the attacking midfielder's future must be resolved as soon as possible.
"If another offer comes in for Draxler, we will take it into consideration," he told Sport Bild.
"But we will not let go of Julian on the cheap, and it is clear that there will be a moment where we are no longer willing to sell. We will not wait for an offer until August 31.
"We have to think about our own planning, too."
Draxler's current deal expires in the summer of 2018.
