Southampton defender Danny Fox has said that he is delighted to be given another chance with Scotland after earning his first international call-up in three years.
Fox has been drafted into Craig Levein's squad for next week's friendly against Australia as cover for missing Rangers defender Lee Wallace.
The 26-year-old told Saints' official website: "I'd put international football to the back of my mind having not been called up for so long, but it's nice.
"It's a compliment to me and a compliment to the staff, the manager and the players that I'm playing with because my form has reflected how we've done as a team.
"Southampton is my bread-and-butter so that comes before anything else, but this is an honour and is something I want to take with both hands."
Fox has one Scotland cap to his name, earned in a 3-0 friendly defeat against Wales in 2009.
